What will drive the markets this week?
Global stocks finished mixed last Friday, with gains in the US and drops in Europe in response to geopolitical tensions, signals that Federal Reserve will likely raise interest rates in March, and Covid-19 related worries.
This week investors will review earnings from some of the biggest e-commerce and tech firms in the world including Amazon, Alphabet, and Meta Platforms.
Notably, analysts expect Amazon to report nearly 10% higher revenues from 2020. Similarly, Alphabet is also expected to report strong growth driven by Google and YouTube ads while Facebook owner Meta Platforms is expected to unveil a new financial reporting structure, promising more details on its “Family of Apps” segment (including Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp) and its Reality Labs segment.
