Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of People in managing and maintaining the HR information system (HRIS), ensuring employee data is updated accurately and in a timely manner
- Utilise the HRIS to process new hires, terminations and changes to employee records, support the management of performance reviews, and generate reports
- Provide assistance during recruitment processes, including coordinating interviews and facilitating communication between candidates and the hiring team
- Handle administrative tasks across the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding
- Provide general administrative support to the HR function
- Ensure all HR activities comply with the company's internal policies, procedures and relevant employment legislation
Minimum Qualifications
- Previous experience in an HR administration, HR assistant or HR coordinator role
- Certificate or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and confident learning new systems
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling personal information
- Good judgement and discretion when dealing with sensitive HR matters
- A proactive, service-oriented approach to supporting employees and managers
- Professional, diplomatic and highly dependable
- Team player with a collaborative approach and strong work ethic
- Naturally organised, process driven and detail focused
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using an HRIS strongly preferred
- Degree preferred but not essential
- Approachable and helpful, with a service-oriented mindset towards staff at all levels
- Proactive, adaptable and solutions-oriented
- Comfortable taking initiative and anticipating team and HR needs
