Responsibilities
- Complete monthly closing activities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals and recording transactions, for the Company and other related entities
- Assist with debtors and creditors, ensuring timely collecting and payment, and performing the necessary reconciliations, for IEML and other related entities
- Preparation of payment runs; serve as contact for banking relationships for IEML and other related entities
- Support the Finance Manager in overseeing the Company's client cash accounts, reconciliation, and reporting process
- Assist in the timely and appropriate preparation of periodic VAT returns for IEML and other related entities
- Assist with external audits by preparing supporting documentation, providing financial information, responding to auditor queries, and ensuring records are accurate and readily available
- Assist in the production of group management accounts
- Assist in automation and optimization of the accounting process
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an Accountant
- First degree in Accounting or pursuing ACCA
- Technical knowledge of IFRS and other types of GAAP
- Knowledge of local tax and VAT regulations
- Fluent business English
- A good team player, capable of collaboration in a fast-paced environment, maintaining accuracy and quality to deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with different internal departments and external counterparts
- Attention to detail, and the ability to assess potential legal and compliance risks
- Strong work ethic, integrity and trustworthiness
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of other languages will be considered an asset
- Previous experience and knowledge in consolidations would be highly advantageous
- Ability to build relationships effectively, both in the immediate team, the group's function, and the wider business
